Darci Lynne Farmer has an amazing ability to captivate the audience and judges on America’s Got Talent.
At the age of 12, she can not only perform as a ventriloquist with speech but can sing on key in different character voices. With her rabbit puppet, Petunia, and shy mouse puppet, Oscar, Farmer received praise each time she performed in the America’s Got Talent competition.
During the audition process for America’s Got Talent, Farmer received the coveted ‘Golden Buzzer’ from judge Mel B of Spice Girls fame.
It is hard to imagine that Farmer was nervous and lacked the confidence to sing on stage before America’s Got Talent. Each time she appeared on the tv show, she charmed the crowd like a professional performer.
“I was very, very shy but America’s Got Talent has given me a voice and more confidence than I could ever have,” Farmer said in her video Promo before learning she made it to the top 5 final.
The shy girl from Oklahoma is not only the winner of $1 Million dollars in prize money but also headlined at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada September 3rd and 4th with rave reviews from critics.
“First, I am definitely going to give some money to my mission program at church and then I have to get my mom a dishwasher,” Farmer shared. “Then I’m definitely going to get a pug, because I really want one — if my parents let me.” Farmer told ‘ENterTainment tonight’ on the red carpet after winning America’s Got Talent.
Farmer’s plans for using her prize money is precious!
The highlight of the America’s Got Talent competition for Farmer was sharing the stage with Terry Fator who won Season 2 of America’s Got Talent as a ventriloquist.
The pair performed “Anything You Can Do” from Annie Get Your Gun.
