Unfortunately, two days before he was supposed to go on the hunting trip, Kailem passed away. His friends including Greig Tonkins decided to keep the trip as scheduled as a final farewell to honor their good friend Kailem.

There was a rush to grant Kailem’s final wishes during his last few months of life. He married the love of his life, and was trying to reach the final wish of hunting the “tonner”.

Kailem was quite the optimistic, fun loving person. The incident that happened on the hunting trip would have made him laugh.

When the hunting party dogs were tracking a scent, the kangaroo appeared out of the bush and immediately began attacking the dog. Thankfully, the dog was wearing protective gear because the hunters were tracking wild boar. Other than a few scratches, the dog was not harmed.

Tonkin’s quick thinking actions, saved the dog from a choke hold that the kangaroo had the dog in.

“It was funny because the guy who [punched the kangaroo] is the most placid bloke. We laughed at him for chucking such a shit punch,” friend Matthew Amor said to reporters.

“Kailem would be looking down from [heaven] and laughing because it was the highlight of the trip,” Amor said.

Kailem’s memory now lives on in this viral video post and his friends feel this is a fantastic way to keep the memory of him alive. Kailem continues to share positivity and humor each time the video is seen according to his group of friends.
