America’s Got Talent has been a summer Must See TV show for 12 seasons.
Judges have come and gone, then come back again, yet every season there are several surprise auditions that make you question just how a person or animal can perform that way.
Here are the top 10 auditions that to this day, people still talk about around the water cooler:
- Viktor Kee
- Ryan Beard
- David & Leeman
- Tone The ChiefRocca
- Christopher The Puppeteer
- Piff The Magic Dragon
- Lil Mike and Funny Bone
- “Tape Face” Sam Wills
- Kenichi Ebina
- Linkin’ Bridge
It is a toss up here for the top 3. My “favorites list” is Piff The Magic Dragon, Tape Face, and Linkin’ Bridge.
Many of these performers have successful careers which were boosted after they appeared on America’s Got Talent. Second place winner Jackie Evancho, signed a deal with Columbia Records after the show and is reportedly worth close to $3 Million dollars.
Comedians who appear generally get a residency somewhere if they are popular with the audience. Some street performers have now better booking gigs in theaters or private events for more than they would make performing on the street.
Terry Fator is one of the most successful America’s Got Talent contestants. Before auditioning for AGT, he had a $1.5 Million dollar contract to perform for a year at the Las Vegas Hilton.
After Fator won Season 2 of AGT, he signed a 5-year contract worth $100 million dollars with The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
If you are chosen to appear as a contestant on AGT, you are given some perks and a salary of sorts to offset living costs during the performance. Some performers have mentioned that they earned $30,000 for basically a 90-minute performance between all the rounds/episodes of America’s Got Talent in which the performer appeared.
Watch and tell us in the comments who your top 3 are. Click on their names in the list to see where they are now.
